Becky’s Thirty-Eighth Book Review: “Full Bloom” by Janet Evanovich and Charlotte Hughes

SPOILER ALERT: DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN’T READ THE EARLIER “FULL” BOOKS AND ARE PLANNING ON IT

The next book in the ‘full series’ is entitled “Full Bloom”. While Jamie and Max are featured in this novel, neither of them is the main focus which I was a little disappointed about. Because Max and Jamie were not in the novel as much, Muffin played a much smaller role as well.

This novel surrounds a woman named Annie Fortenberry. She inherited her grandmother’s Bed and Breakfast and often has parties at her place, including the upcoming wedding between Jamie Swift and Max Holt. Jamie and Annie have been friends since they were kids. So Jamie doesn’t hesitate to help Annie when her missing husband turns up dead. Jamie and Max team up together to try to clear Annie’s name and at the same time a new stranger has presented himself in Annie’s life, Wes Bridges. Electricity sparks between Annie and Wes. Even though Annie believed that her husband had run off with another woman, she still doesn’t know whether or not she can trust Wes after all that she has been through. The ending was quite a surprise—I was having fun guessing who the killer might be and I was way off!

Would I recommend this book? Yes, I enjoyed it. I just wish that Jamie and Max were featured in it a little more since they are so much fun.
